Mindfulness for public servants: An interactive introduction

May 11 @ 11:00 - 12:00 EDT

As Mindfulness has become more mainstream, many people are turning to these simple practices to cope with increased stress and anxiety, a need which has become even more heightened during the pandemic.

But do you know what it is, and why it is becoming so popular?

Mindfulness meditation is widely used to reduce stress, anxiety, to lift mood and promote overall health and well-being. Mindfulness is to the mind what physical exercise is to the body – a way to stay, fit, flexible and focussed.

Join this interactive workshop to discover what mindfulness is and why so many people are incorporating this simple yet effective way to help quiet the mind, increase attention and build resilience. You’ll get an introduction to the concept of mindfulness, and you’ll be guided through some simple practices you can try yourself.

THIS SESSION WILL COVER:
What mindfulness is, and why it’s practiced
How mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety
Easy mindfulness practices you can incorporate into your daily life
WHO SHOULD JOIN:
This workshop is for any public servant interested in learning what mindfulness is and how it can support you in coping with stress in the workplace and the challenges inherent in daily life.

This workshop will be recorded, and a recording will be sent to all registrants.
